Welcome to High Tech Connections

Building on the successful launch of High Tech Connections (HTC) in Silicon Valley in 2004, follow-up successes took place in Boston in 2005 and San Francisco in 2007.

HTC was created by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and the US Embassy in the Netherlands. It is a unique public and private consortium dedicated to promoting technological exchanges to drive innovation and pioneer new business matchmaking among American and Dutch companies, institutions and universities.

HTC features numerous networking opportunities and the program typically includes keynote speeches by government and industry leaders, elevator pitches by U.S. and Dutch delegates, matchmaking activities, and parallel breakout sessions on addressing questions like:

  • What impact will nanotechnology have on our health systems or on our safety?
  • How can molecular diagnostics help to find diseases in an early stage?
  • Can new materials lead to higher yields in photovoltaic systems?
